The former manager of Wine Rack, Mohamed Mallek, a very familiar face amongst locals, will continue his 19-year reign in the area, as he puts the finishing touches on the new Askewine shop.

THE Mayor has requested people in the borough to come forward and help volunteer for charity at the upcoming match day at Stamford Bridge.

Councillor Alex Karmel, Mayor of Hammersmith & Fulham, is on the lookout for volunteers to help on March 13.

THE BOROUGH'S residents are one of the least prepared of all Londoners in a household emergency, according to a national survey.

This has led the council to hold an 'Emergency' meeting this Thursday (February 25) where they will launch the Are You Prepared? information booklet to assist local people.

The Bull serves pub food, draught lager, ale, fancy crisps, has a pool table and is furnished with lots of pubby things but it just doesn't feel like a pub which, if you've had a hard day shopping but don't fancy a bite in one of the endless Italian or chain restaurants that surround Westfield, isn't necessarily a bad thing.

A cancer care nurse, who helps terminally ill patients in the final days of their lives, is the first person to be nominated for our Pride in our People Awards 2010.


Olive Hoare, from Northolt, is one of nine Ealing Marie Curie Cancer Care nurses, who is also fronting the Gazette-backed campaign to raise £170,000 to improve services in the borough.A Marie Curie nurse for 13 years, Olive, 62, also worked at Meadow House Hospice.
