Tube station in Shepherd's Bush is in bloom

Tube staff at four of the borough's stations have been getting their trowels out for this year's Underground in Bloom competition.

Putney Bridge, Parson's Green, West Kensington and East Acton have all entered the contest, which involves brightening up platforms and stations with plants and flowers over the summer months.

The winners of eight categories from around the city will be announced after judging finishes on August 7.

Rosie Boycott, chair of London Food, said: "These gardens are showcasing to millions of people the pleasure of gardening and even, in some cases, showing how easy it is to grow fruit and vegetables in the heart of an urban environment."

We'd like to hear from you.
