Tube staff at four of the borough's stations have been getting their trowels out for this year's Underground in Bloom competition.
Putney Bridge, Parson's Green, West Kensington and East Acton have all entered the contest, which involves brightening up platforms and stations with plants and flowers over the summer months.
Volunteers from Shepherd's Bush and Hammersmith are needed to help organise and promote a night hike across London in aid of Maggie's at Charing Cross Hospital.
The centre, which helps families touched by cancer, hopes to smash last year's £600,000 through a sponsored 20 mile walk which incorporates night-time visits to the London Eye, Horse Guards Parade, the Royal Geographical Survey and Battersea Power Station.
