UNEMPLOYED and unqualified people living in Hammersmith and Fulham have an opportunity to develop job skills in a volunteering programme linked to the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games.
The four-month Personal Best Programme will give graduates a nationally recognised qualification in volunteering and a guaranteed interview for volunteering roles at the Olympics.
Participants will build self-esteem and gain transferable job skills through work experience at events such as marathons or concerts.
South Park will host a fun day on Saturday, January 10.
The event is being held to shore up votes in a London-wide competition that could earn it a £400,000 makeover.
Everyone and anyone is invited to the fun day at the park in Clancarty Road, Fulham, which will take place from 2-4pm.
