A man was robbed and forced to the floor at gunpoint while two thugs stole his sports car on Sunday morning.

The 35-year-old from Shepherd's Bush was walking towards his Audi TT convertible on the forecourt of Texaco petrol station, Scrubs Lane, before one of the man produced the handgun.

The pair stole the grey Audi TT, registration SRO3TTT, at 6:30am and drove off from the Willesden garage in the direction of the A40.

Police are now appealing for witnesses, but the exact route taken by the thieves in unknown.

The suspect who brandished the firearm and drove the car was described as African-Caribbean and wearing a black hooded top and dark trousers.

The second man was wearing a grey or white hooded top and dark trousers and sat in the front passenger seat.
