Two escape flat blaze

Fire ripped through a first floor flat in Acton in the early hours of Sunday moning.

Crews from Ealing and Acton spent four hours tackling the blaze in Berkeley House, Mansell Road.

No smoke alarms were fitted in the flat, but two people escaped without serious injury before the firefighters arrived at 12.15am.

The cause of the fire is still under under investigation.
